It can not be stressed enough that it is important to dress to impress when you go into an audition in Columbus. You should wear something that is comfortable, however you should be wearing something that also can hint at the character you are portraying without being on the extreme side of things. Coming to an audition completely in make up for a Disney style fairy queen; will not get you extra points with the casting director. You may even be a huge distraction at that point with your gossamer wings swaying everywhere.
Though costume attire is strongly discouraged; if your character is more a business professional feel free to embody that with some corporate attire. If you receive a call back, it is actually recommended that you wear the same clothing that you did for your audition. I know it seems strange but it will help the casting director recognize you from the audition and you can always wear something of similar style instead of the exact same thing.
